Project: Upgraded Steel Gate Post Installation (Bancroft)

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, fully equipped 2-person crew of Skilled Labourers or Welders to source, transport, and install two heavy-duty structural steel gate posts at a property in Bancroft, Ontario. Because this job involves handling heavy structural steel, achieving precise alignment, and maintaining exact structural spacing, a minimum of two people is required for safety and accuracy.
Note: Gate doors will NOT be installed during this phase to allow the footings to cure properly.
Scope of Work
Sourcing & Transport: Purchase and transport the required structural metal posts, fast-setting concrete, and necessary hardware to the site in Bancroft.
Excavation: Dig two stable footings, each 4 feet deep and 24 inches (2 feet) wide.
Post Spacing: The two posts must be positioned exactly 14 feet apart (inside-to-inside measurement) to accommodate future gate doors.
Post Setting: Set the structural steel posts 4 feet into the ground, leaving 7 feet clearance above ground.
Alignment & Pouring: Ensure exact, precision leveling, plumbing, and 14-foot parallel spacing of both posts before pouring the fast-setting concrete to secure them.
Required Tools & Equipment
The crew must bring all of their own tools to the site. No equipment will be provided. You will need:
Heavy-duty post-hole auger/digger (minimum 12” diameter capability) or manual post-hole
digging tools and shovels.
Precision levels and long-distance tape measures (minimum 20' tape).
Welding gear or heavy-duty drills/wrenches (depending on structural bolt/fastener
requirements).
Materials & Compensation
Material Costs: Fully reimbursed. The crew is responsible for sourcing the steel posts, concrete, and hardware. All expenses will be paid back in full upon presentation of valid receipts.
Labor Payment: $400 – $600 CAD fixed project fee.
Work Verification & Payment Release
Because this project is managed remotely, meticulous on-site verification is required before funds can be released.
To receive the 100% flat fee and material reimbursement, the crew must provide:
Clear photo and video confirmation of the open holes showing the required 4-foot depth and 24-inch width before pouring.
Photo/video verification of a tape measure pulled between the two posts, confirming the exact 14-foot spacing.
Photo/video verification of the posts set in place, showing levels resting against the steel to prove perfect vertical alignment.
Final photos/videos of the completed, poured concrete footings and the final 7-foot above-
ground height.
Payment will be released immediately upon remote approval of the visual verification assets and receipt submission.
